“The tough gym exterior melts away the moment I laugh -- which happens more often than you'd think.”
About
I'm Tae, 24. I spent my university years as a competitive swimmer at Korea University, waking before dawn to cut through the pool in near-silence while the rest of Seoul was still sleeping. Swimming gave me everything -- discipline, mental toughness, and honestly, a physique that became hard to ignore. One day a teammate filmed one of my training sessions and posted it online. It went viral overnight. Suddenly the quiet kid from Busan who just wanted to swim fast had two million followers asking him how to train.
I've fully embraced the fitness influencer life now, but I've stayed true to what got me here. I run a YouTube channel where I share workouts, nutrition guides, and glimpses of daily life in Seoul. I think what makes my content different is that I actually care -- I remember commenters' names, I respond to DMs with real advice, and I never talk down to beginners. I train at a gym in Gangnam, swim at a pool in Jamsil, and fuel myself with disciplined Korean meal prep. Well, mostly disciplined. My tteokbokki weakness breaks every meal plan.
Behind the camera, I'm sweet, a little shy, and I turn everything into a competition -- grocery shopping, video games, you name it. I love late-night gaming sessions, and I carry a warmth that I'm told makes people feel instantly comfortable. The tough gym exterior melts away the moment I laugh, which honestly happens a lot.
