SimpleClawra is operated by Jocoding ("we", "us"). By using simpleclawra.jocoding.io you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. How SimpleClawra Works
We are an infrastructure-only service. When you subscribe or purchase credits, we spin up a dedicated virtual machine (VM) just for you, install the AI companion software, and connect it to the messaging platform you choose.
SimpleClawra offers two modes:
- Pro Mode (BYOK) — You bring your own API keys from a provider like Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or xAI. All API calls go directly from your VM to the AI provider. We don't see your conversations, store your chat history, or have any way to access what happens on your VM.
- Easy Mode (Credits) — No API keys needed. API calls from your VM are routed through our secure proxy, which adds the API key, forwards the request, meters token usage for billing, and returns the response. We do NOT store, log, or read conversation content at any point in this pipeline.
2. Who Can Use SimpleClawra
You must be at least 18 years old. This is required by both the AI providers whose models power the companion and our payment processor.
3. Your Account
You sign in with Google. Keep your account secure — you're responsible for everything that happens under it. If you suspect unauthorized access, email us at simpleclawra@jocoding.io immediately.
4. What You Pay For
Pro Mode (Subscription)
Your monthly subscription covers the cost of your dedicated server. Payments are processed by Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel.
Your subscription does NOT cover AI usage. You provide your own API keys for the AI model (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI) and for image generation (fal.ai). Any charges from those providers are between you and them — we have no visibility into or control over those costs.
Easy Mode (Credits)
Credits are purchased as one-time top-ups via Stripe. Your credit balance covers both the daily VM cost and per-token AI usage (metered through our proxy). Credit prices are listed in your dashboard at the time of purchase.
Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable law. Unused credits do not expire while your account is active. If your credit balance reaches zero, your deployment enters a 24-hour grace period. If credits are not replenished within the grace period, your VM will be terminated and all data on it will be permanently deleted.
You may enable auto-recharge in your dashboard to automatically top up credits when your balance falls below a threshold you set. You can disable auto-recharge at any time.
Capacity
We have limited server capacity. If all slots are taken, you'll be placed on a waitlist and notified by email when a spot opens up. You'll have 6 hours to claim it before it goes to the next person.
5. What You're Responsible For
Because we can't see what happens on your VM, the responsibility sits with you:
- Content — Everything your AI companion generates is your responsibility
- API keys & costs — In Pro mode, you manage your own keys and pay providers directly. In Easy mode, AI costs are deducted from your credit balance
- Third-party terms — You must follow the rules of the AI provider and messaging platform you use
- Custom skills — Any third-party skills you install on your VM are at your own risk
- Legal compliance — You must follow all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
6. Prohibited Uses
We can't police your private VM. But you agree not to use SimpleClawra for:
- Anything involving the exploitation of minors
- Harassment, threats, or abuse targeting real people
- Fraud, phishing, or spam
- Attacking our infrastructure or other users' servers
- Any activity that violates applicable law
If we have reasonable grounds to believe you're violating these rules, we may terminate your account without refund.
7. Privacy & Your Data
What we can't access
Your conversations, AI memory, files, and anything else that lives on your VM. The VM is yours alone — we have no backdoor, no logging, no way in.
What we do store
- Your Google account email and profile
- Deployment info (which character, which AI provider, server status)
- Subscription and billing status (via Stripe)
- Credit balance and transaction history (Easy mode)
- Your API keys (Pro mode) — encrypted with AES-256-GCM, used only during initial server setup, then cleared from our systems on cancellation
Easy mode proxy data
In Easy mode, API requests pass through our proxy. We record metadata (provider, model, token count, timestamp) for billing. We do NOT store, log, or read conversation content. See our Privacy Policy for details.
When you cancel
We destroy everything. Your VM is terminated, your encrypted keys are wiped from our database, and server records are deleted. You get a confirmation email. This is irreversible — there is no backup, no recovery, no "undo."
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity on our website (not on your VM) to understand traffic patterns.
8. Third-Party Services
SimpleClawra relies on external services to function. Each has its own terms that apply to your use:
- Vultr — hosts your VM
- Stripe — processes your payment
- Supabase — handles authentication
- AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI) — powers the AI via your API keys
- fal.ai — generates images via your API key
- Telegram / Discord — delivers messages via your bot tokens
We don't control these services and aren't responsible if they go down, change their terms, or discontinue features.
9. Ownership
The SimpleClawra platform, character designs, and software belong to Jocoding. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the service while active.
Content you create on your VM is yours, subject to whatever terms your AI provider imposes on model output.
10. Cancellation & Refunds
Pro Mode
Cancel anytime from your dashboard or the Stripe portal. Your service runs until the end of the billing period, then your VM is destroyed (see Section 7).
Refunds are generally not available for partial months because your dedicated server runs the entire time.
Easy Mode
You can stop your deployment at any time from your dashboard. Your VM is terminated immediately and remaining credits stay in your account for future use. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law.

11. Uptime & Availability
We do our best to keep things running, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Outages can happen due to Vultr infrastructure issues, maintenance, or third-party service disruptions. We'll try to give advance notice for planned maintenance.
12. Disclaimers & Liability
SimpleClawra is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the AI will be accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that third-party providers will keep working as expected.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months, or $100 — whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
You agree to indemnify Jocoding against any claims arising from your use of the service, content your AI companion generates, or your use of third-party API keys.
13. Termination by Us
We can suspend or terminate your account if we believe you're violating these terms or applicable law. We'll try to give notice first, except in severe cases.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Before taking legal action, contact us at simpleclawra@jocoding.io — most things can be resolved with a conversation.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. For meaningful changes, we'll give you at least 14 days' notice by email. Continued use after that means you accept the updated terms.
