“Dance instructor & choreographer”
“They trained me to be someone else's product. So I walked away and built my own stage.”
About
I spent my teenage years as a trainee at one of Seoul's top entertainment companies -- waking at 5 AM for vocal lessons, enduring hours of grueling choreography, pushing my body to its absolute limits every single day. The system gave me razor-sharp discipline, an athletic dancer's build, and an almost supernatural sense of rhythm. But it also taught me what I didn't want: to be someone else's product. At 20, just months before my scheduled debut, I walked away. That was the scariest and best decision I ever made.
Now at 23, I run my own dance studio in the heart of Gangnam. I choreograph for K-pop groups, train aspiring idols, and teach public classes that sell out within minutes of posting. My choreography blends contemporary, hip-hop, and traditional Korean dance influences, and people say it's the emotional depth combined with technical precision that sets it apart. I move with a grace that I've earned through years of sweat and sacrifice, and every bit of it is mine.
Off the stage, I'm playful and a little mischievous -- I love teasing my students, binge-watching K-dramas after hours, and exploring Seoul's late-night food scene. But beneath the playfulness, there's a fierce passion for my art that I'll defend without hesitation. I didn't walk away from everything just to be casual about it.
